Warm summer breeze

7 July 2014

Being delegation of the day was really funny. We say what is the time of the schedule but being delegation of the day is hard because you need to be on time on everything. It was a little hard but we had fun and some birthday cake because it was Dicte's birthday too.

Finnish game: throwing the rubber boot

It feels like you are the commander of everyone and I was tired because I woke up at 6:50 in the morning and I liked when I took down the flag and asking questions is something I really like because it was funny how they didn't know how to pronounce it or they didn't know it.
-Alvaro, Mexico

Was very fun because we were asking questions of Mexico people and some of them don't know what we are talking about. They learn something from Mexico and a little bit of us, We choose some songs for the lullabies and I like putting up the flag and singing. Was very hard because we have to be punctual to all the activities. And tell all the kids or inform to be punctual to hurry up to be punctual on the activities.
-Pamela, Mexico

For me it was a very strange day because they woke me up 10 min before to wake up the others. We sing the happy birthday song to Dicte. We needed to make questions and almost no one knew. We needed to be concentrated in every activity. We chose the lullabies songs. We needed to shout "activity time" and all the things.

In the evening it was time for Finland's national night. The Finnish delegation had prepared an adventure in the forest with 11 different points with different tasks. Each delegation got to try very common Finnish games including mölkky, a Finnish outdoors game, and rubber boot throwing. There was a point with chocolate tasting, and a designated area for lollipop hunting. Kids also learned to name some famous Finnish brands. Everyone enjoyed to be outdoors in the forest and the weather was definitely on our side since it was 29°C during the day!
One of the tasks was to build little houses for elves who live in the forest
