Last day of camp

Gala night

The afternoon was spent leisurely at the beach and at the sports stadium. Everyone was eagerly waiting for the special Gala night to start!

Gala night began with a special dinner where everyone had made reservations hence they got to sit with someone they really liked. Pizza and soft drinks were served. After dinner the kids got to experience a special Gala in the gym hall where they could spend special Moo-money on tattoos (made with markers), casino, snacks and drinks, slot machine and fortune tellers. There was a photo booth where they could show their best poses. The kids could also send lovenotes and sign friendship contracts. The leaders were in charge of making all the magic happen!

The night ended with different performances that amazed both leaders and the kids. There was belly dance, break dance, a music performance, imitations and a story of a typical day at the camp made by leaders!

Excursion day in Turku

We were really excited to begin our excursion to Turku!

We took buses to the park of Turku castle and stayed there to do tons of energizers in all possible different languages. Then we chilled in the park for a while, played soccer and danced as well as enjoyed our picnic lunch. 

All the delegations had possibility to follow the river Aura to the direction of Turku centre meanwhile hunting for hidden sculptures. The staff might have been the most eager to hunt and not shop, while the delegations jumped of joy since they got to do some hardcore shopping and look for souvenirs in Turku. 

Rainy thunderstorm slowly made its way to Turku centre and everyone had to get inside. For some reason the staff spotted a lot of people wearing green t-shirts inside of Hansa -the shopping centre of Turku.

Once we got back to the campsite, we had dinner and congratulated Elli with cake since it was her Birthday.
