Hello from the CoW Village!
All the kids arrived yesterday from their host families and they were excited to begin the camp. The leaders have been at the campsite for the week-end to prepare for the kids' arrival. Once the kids had arrived, they got a tour around the campsite.
Today we did name games and fun activities. The kids got to know the streets of Naantali in the form of a scavenger hunt. They loved to spot things with their group and they got to pick up a treasure and bring it to the campsite. Some boys brought spiders:)
In the evening all the delegations presented what they had concluded about diversity in their own countries. Some had powerpoint shows, some had made posters, some danced and acted. All the presentations were fantastic, and everyone learned something new about others' countries and importantly about their own country. They wrote letters to their future selves which will be given to them in the end of the camp. The kids have already made a lot of new friends from all over the world and talked a lot of english.
Tomorrow's delegation of the day is Costa Rica and they will write in the camp blog.
See you later!
